Well up and coming knitwear designer Mark Fast challenged this concept in his Spring/Summer 2010 collection. This clearly didnt go down well with a lot of people. His show stylist quit and has been accused by some fashion critic as using this as self publicity. Mark Fast is quoted as saying "But I met these girls and I loved their charisma". But is charisma really enough to make a good model?
Looking through at the models he selected I personally think he made the wrong choice in both the plus size and regular catwalk sized models. The plus size girls appear to be buldging out of some of these outfits (maybe the lack of a stylist is the result of this) but they weren't dressed, styled or made up in a way which flattered their curves.
On the other side of the scale with the 'size zero' models, there were a few models looking like skeletors long lost sister..

There are some very nice designs in this collection but I think the designer and his team majorly FAILED in this attempt at changing the fashion industrys views on plus size models.
